Experience

Jessica K. Allen became a Partner at the firm in 2016 after working as an Associate with the firm since 2008.  Jessica's practice areas include subrogation, construction law and insurance defense, first-party insurance coverage issues, and long term care facility defense. Her diverse practice has allowed her to handle and resolve claims of all sizes and types, both on defense claims and in subrogation matters. She is also the author of several papers related to civil litigation and the insurance industry.

Prior to joining Pfefferle Kane LLP, Jessica honed her legal analytical skills clerking for the Honorable Mary E. Hannon in the Tenth Judicial District for the State of Minnesota.  She also gained valuable legal experience during law school through legal clerkships with the State of Alaska’s Attorney General’s Office and the St. Paul City Attorney’s Office.

Membership

Jessica is an active member of the National Association of Subrogation Professionals (NASP) and the Minnesota Defense Lawyers Association (MDLA). She has served as an editor on the Editorial Committee of the National Association of Subrogation Professionals (NASP) Subrogator® magazine. Jessica has authored articles for the Subrogator® and has served as a co-presenter at NASP’s Annual Conference and NASP’s Minnesota Chapter meetings. Jessica is also a member of the Northwest Loss Association, the Twin City Claims Association and the Minnesota Bar Associations.

Presentations

Along with leading private training seminars for clients, Jessica has been asked to speak on a variety of topics by the Minnesota Defense Lawyers Association, the Minnesota Chapter of the National Association of Subrogation Professionals as well as at the National Association of Subrogation Professionals. Jessica has also been asked to speak by various organizations conducting seminars on fire litigation and subrogation. She is also an annual presenter at Edina High School’s Career Day.

Personal

Jessica enjoys golfing, traveling, and just spending time with her husband and three sons.
